Natural History and Antiquarian Society of Mid Argyll
NHASMA SCHOLARSHIP/TRAVEL BURSARY
The Natural History and Antiquarian Society of Mid Argyll attracts some 160 people locally, nationally and internationally who are passionate about the natural environment and all matters archaeological/historical.
We meet monthly throughout the winter for talks from experts in these fields and over the summer months we visit a number of local landmarks.
We want to share some of that passion with the younger generation and so a grant of up to £250 will be available to any young person under 21 to pursue a project that falls within the interest of NHASMA
Do you want to fund some time on a recognised archaeological dig?
How about joining in an RSPB survey?
Always wanted to visit the Neolithic sites in Orkney?
What about voluntary work with National Park Ranger Service or National Trust?
Want to study the flora on a stretch of machair?
Let us know your ideas and how the bursary would help.
All we ask in return for the grant is that you produce a written report of your experience which we will publish in our twice yearly journal, the Kist, to the benefit of all our members.
